Here we go! July might have whipped around in what feels like record timing, but we've been waiting what feels like an age for our latest collab release alongside our beery besties in, Braybrooke. As such our tropical, crispy delight, the NZ Cold IPA takes the headlines this time around, along with an accompanying launch event at the Wood St Depot with 10 Greek St.

Of course, we've still got your regular supply of juicy joy, namely a Shark Attack from Verdant, that sees three different takes on an uber-popular formula. Speaking of top tier, we've also got all four entries from Cloudwater's collaborative project The Mashup on the Webshop, featuring Beak, Polly's, Overtone and more.

Over to our mega Manager Picks and there's new and old favourites alike from Unbarred, Drop Project, and Pensador (all with Free Tastings tonight!) plus Two Flints, Abyss and more. But first, to our collaboration baby...

Based on the outskirts of Market Harborough, and set on an idyllic farm, Lager specialists Braybrooke have arguably become the premier UK producer in their field since being founded in 2017. Connecting with esteemed Franconian brewers Mahrs Brau they secured an authentic German-style brew kit and horizontal tanks as well as contracts for the finest malt, hops and yeast, usually not available to UK brewers.

Cult faves, for those in the know, we were delighted to begin working with them on our bestselling and singular house line, the fantastic Clapton Helles, back in November 2020. Having been firm friends since, we knocked knowledgeable heads together to make our first-ever seasonal special, and the hoppy ying to our Helles yang.

Enter the NZ Cold IPA. With a nod to our Kiwi heritage, this aims to please the tropical fruit juice-loving crowd while appeasing Lager lovers alike with that crispy malt flavour, from the extended conditioning that Braybrooke are so revered for. Why choose one, when you can have both?

But, what exactly is a Cold IPA? Following a true Willy Wonka experience at their brewery we got down and dirty with everyone's favourite Lager-Ale hybrid. Though somewhat of an ambiguous style, here the chill factor refers to their unique live Franconian yeast being fermented low and slow, reducing the impact of yeast esters, for a lean, clean, green delight.

Made with top quality 100% Bamberg Pilsner Malt, for a refined, bready base, this allows the NZ hop treatment to really shine. Finally, this is given a subsequent, 5-week, Lagered slumber in their signature horizontal tanks, allowing more surface contact with the yeast to condition this to absolute perfection.

Hopped with a-listers Citra Cryo, Riwaka and Nectaron throughout the process expect the full spectrum of tropical Antipodean flavour. Think vinous gooseberry goodness, smoked citrus fruit, and a hit of dank, ripe pineapple. But, compared to your chewy NEIPAs of the world this will finish bracingly dry, for a zippy, refreshing character that begs for just one more.

To help you get in the Braybrooke spirit we're offering double loyalty points on both Clapton Helles and our new NZ Cold IPA in bottles this week as well as PET and Growler Refills for the draught crowd! Of course, we'll also have more from the Lager legends dotted around the shops including the likes of their deliciously roasty Black Lager, herbal Pils, gluggable Session Lager and more.

All of these will also be eligible for 10% off 6 or more online at our Webshop, so you can get in on the action delivered straight from our cold store to your door. Safe to say, we absolutely can't wait for you to get your hands on this new collab cracker. Based on our experience it won't be hanging around too long in your glass, or bottle...

Our Penryn pals are up to their old tricks again, with a dangerously drinkable triple threat, featuring three riffs on their exceedingly popular Even Sharks Need Water. Obviously, their O.G. is all present and correct, and this Citra and Galaxy hopped NEIPA is an absolute apricot umami-bomb with a luxuriously fluffy body.

Then they clearly thought, 'You're gonna need a bigger beer!' (SORRY), so enter Whale Sharks. Dialled up to DIPA levels with a triple dry hop this delivers sharper, intense citrus fruits, to balance out those tangy, mouth-coating tropical notes. Not content to rest on their laurels Rivington Collab, and Mashup entry (more on that below), Never Known Sharks Like It completes the set with peppery, passion fruit panache.

Thankfully, there's safer waters for Verdant fans with recent drops of Lightbulb, Sundialer and more, but we know you want in on that Sharks action!

Inspired by Cloudwater and co's love of musical mashups, their new collaborative project brings a quartet of brews that combine some of the greatest hits from eight of the finest UK breweries. With each entry a combination of their most prized recipes, they've also co-created playlists to accompany the beer, giving a sense of the personalities and passions of the folks responsible for what’s in your glass.

As to the suds lined up for you, it's a who's who of the greatest in the scene right now, so don't sleep on these:

Cloudwater x Beak Purrr Well, Friends
(Be Well Friends x Purrr)
TIPA + NEIPA = DIPA. This packs a deft, tropical punch with bright honeydew melon, mango bubblegum & dank passion fruit coming to the fore.

Verdant x Rivington - Never Known Sharks Like It
(Whale Sharks x Never Known Fog Like It)
Beefed up to 8.5% & dry-hopped to hell & back, additions of Mosaic & Simcoe deliver pithy grapefruit, pine & dank tropics to the Sharks' citric-focussed bite.

Siren x NewbarnsSuper Gold Finger Discount
(Super Gold x Gold Finger Discount)

A conceptual Rustic Lager mirroring the bitter, hoppy, estery profile of beloved Belgian Pales, but with added time spent on oak, for a unique, breezy Lager.

Overtone x Polly's - Splur
(Plur x Spur)

Melding together their water profiles, this is all high-juice, low bitterness to the nines. A DIPA so pillowy that Tempur are basing their newest technology on it.
