Fasten your suds-seatbelts as we're coming at you with another absolute doozy this time around! First up, we turn our attention to unsung heroes, and some of our nearest and dearest at that in Anspach & Hobday. Next, we move onto some folks we definitely don't need to shout about, but can't help ourselves whenever they pass through the doors. Roll up for fast-moving freshies from Northern Monk, DEYA, and Burnt Mill!

Sometimes this job is real tough, and nothing is more emblematic than having the arduous job of tasting through our latest import, Champagne L&S Cheurlin. We can say these are absolutely the real deal to float your fizz boat if you ever need (or want) to splash out.

Meanwhile, our Managers keep things a bit more humble, showcasing local legends Exale, and Devil's Botany (Tastings Tonight in N4 & Hoe St respectively) alongside Floc., Polly's and more.

Ooh, and don't forget we have Soho institution 10 Greek St in for a pop-up next Saturday (July 8th) at our Wood St Depot to celebrate the launch of our collab NZ Cold IPA with Braybrooke. That's gunna be an absolute banger! Now, onto those aforementioned Croydon crackers...

Originally born into that brewing hotbed of Bermondsey, Anspach & Hobday, then forerunners of the first wave of craft beer, have cut their own path, expanding rapidly into a new Croydon site in 2020. Having become renowned for their innovation but perhaps more importantly their commitment to brilliantly balanced, heritage and traditional styles, they're truly a welcome tonic in the current drinking climate. Consequently, we're thrilled to have a fantastic blend of endlessly suppable specials and core range classics for you this week.

Where better place to start than a true Summer star, their Sea Salt & Lime Gose. Brewed in collaboration with Maldon Salt (Real Housewives Of Clapton followers, you'll dig this) this is a vibrant, uber-sluggable Sour with citrus salinity made in the authentic Leipzig fashion. Talking of Germanic greats, The Lager Kolsch Style is a superb Cologne tribute. Here Munich malt adds subtle caramel complexity to a crisp, bright Lager with Kรถlsch yeast lending subtle light fruit, complementing the herbal hop aromas.

As to something a tad deeper, darker and more comforting, the Londorado Best Bitter sees them work with legends of the US craft beer revolution, Left Hand. Here a nod to the American greats sees a dash of rye malt added for delicate notes of spice, coalescing with an otherwise smooth toffee and dark fruit malt character.

If that wasn't enough we also have plenty of their illustrious core range in tow. Their Ordinary Bitter is a masterclass of the moreish, nostalgic style while The Porter is a trademark shot of roasty, toasty goodness.

Meanwhile, in the green corner, The IPA is a dank, resinous and fruit-forward delight for the West Coast-inclined. It'd also be remiss of us to ignore the Bermondsey Pale, an earthy showcase of English hops, produced as a nod to the hardworking families of the area way back in the early 1900s. Here, they would travel to Kent during the hop picking or 'Oppin' Season, spending their holidays (to earn extra money) picking hops for local breweries. The more you know...

Whatever you pick up this week, rest assured you'll be securing double loyalty points in-store with 10% off 6 or more beers Online at the link below. Failing that, we've always got Anspach's London Black pouring down the Wood St Depot. So what are you waiting for?

With our last comeback drop from the Leeds legends going down an absolute storm, we figured you surely need more Northern Monk in your lives. That means fresh Faith and Holy Faith at budget-friendly pricing, but also the latest and greatest in their elusive Patrons Project Series.

Our picks include Pain with Spanish sensations Garage, which features notes of zesty lime, overripe mango, citrus, pine and black pepper in a complex, but slurpable Session IPA package. Sour Party Garys is sure to prick the ears of any sweet tooth, a pink smoothie-style Fruited Pale Ale this offers up candied flavours of tart raspberry, orange, lime and lemon.

Not enough for you? We also have a smattering of their latest Finback DDH IPA, Deadbeat10th Anniversary DIPA Reunited, as well as experimental OFS Australian Hazy IPA made with hop connoisseurs BarthHaas and their zingy turbo Lemon Radler with arcade bars NQ64. Game on!

If drinkability is more your bag, then Burnt Mill have to be right at the top of your wish list. This week sees Pintle back in fine form, for our money one of the finest Pales in the UK right now. Add to that fresh Gluten Free Helles and West Coast Pale Beyond The Firs and the fridge fillers are primed and ready.

To keep things interesting we also have Six Acre East, and Six Acre West, a pair of DDH Pales that span the coasts, letting you compare mouthfeel, aroma and more in a birthday special that features, you guessed it, their favourite hexadic of hops. Yes, we can Google synonyms for six...

Finally, we're delighted to have a little drop from the Crocs themselves in DEYA. Of course, there's more SRM (though keeping this stocked is truly a Sisyphean endeavour) as well as the mighty My Phone's On Snooze Raspberry. A tart, jammy, juicy Sour clocking in at a crushable 3.4% this has our number and then some.

Completing the set DIPA Kinetic Sand utilised a brand new hop product called CGXโ„ข that promises to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact, all while delivering deeper, danker flavour. Here, this translates as prickly papaya, tangy wine gums, and sticky mango. Who knew science could be so fun?

The latest addition to our now rather extensive range of imported wines, we count ourselves pretty fortunate to be able to bring over L&S Cheurlin, from Champagne, no less. Closely intertwined with that of its terroir: the Cรดte des Bar, and more specifically Celles-sur-Ource an idyllic commune in the heart of the region, their ancient roots date far back to 1881.

At the time, Edmond Cheurlin, a passionate winegrower and staunch defender of the Aube's heritage, took part in the great 'Champagne revolution' led by the winegrowers in the southernmost part of the region to gain recognition and accreditation. Despite the difficult years of economic crisis and world wars, Edmond's son Raymond was slowly able to start producing and marketing his own wine.

Now headed up by the founder's two great-grandchildren, Lucie and Sรฉbastien, they carry on the great family winemaking tradition with a renewed focus on environmental practice. Working 5 hectares of vines organically with some biodynamic preparations, these are vivid, terroir-driven grower Champagnes with striking precision and finesse.

Though we know this is hardly your everyday purchase, we're delighted to have more confidence than ever that your bottle of bubbly will hit the mark for that special occasion. Here are the three different cuvees we have for your perusal:

Cuvee Lucie - Made from 70% Pinot Noir & 30% Chardonnay, this is typically pure & fruit-driven. Boasting notes of crystalline stone fruit, and enticing white flower aromas, expect superb length & finesse.

Cuvee Sebastian - Rich & generous 50-50 split of Pinot & Chardonnay delivering equally savoury & opulent flavour. Think licks of lemon curd, with wafts of toasty brioche & baked apple aromas.

Coeur De Chevalier - Extra Brut from a 2018 vintage aged on lees for a remarkable 4 years. From L&S's oldest vines, this has exhilarating tension & balance, with chalky minerality & a vivid apple-citrus nose.
