The day is nearly here! This Tuesday we're delighted to open our doors to Clapton Craft Wood Street. Catch all the details below but suffice to say we are very excited to show you around the place and dish out some top notch takeaways. Of course, we've not forgotten all about our first loves. A bumper Bank Holiday drop across the shops features London legends old and new in Gipsy Hill and Gravity Well, alongside fresh Pet Nats for springtime suppin' from Christophe Lindenlaub. There's also mega manager picks including Burning Sky, Amundsen and The Beak. While Webshop goers can find freshies from Polly's, Low Key and English Wine sensations Offbeat. Finally, pallets from Newbarns and Time & Tide landed late so head on over to Instagram and Twitter, or ask in store for their latest and greatest. Now, onto lucky No.7...

That's right, just a few days from now we'll be welcoming you into our HQ and seventh shop! Our central depot is already up-and-running for all those exciting mega deliveries and transfers (and less exciting paperwork). Though, there's a smidge of paint and the small matter of a few hundred beers to be stocked and stacked, we thought we'd give you a little preview. With custom fridges akin to our chilly haven in Balham, we've gone 100% Cold Store with up to 500(!) different lines of beers, along with ample space for natural wine fans, with 180 different bottles and counting landing on those fair shelves. It goes without mentioning that our draught lines are also primed and park-ready with 6 beers available on growler refill from the get-go.

Of course, everything's also in line for when we can drink in with friends, but we'll share more with you when the time is right to prevent our growing pint exasperation from reaching new heights. Those of you from N4, NW5, E5 or just about any of our spots for that matter will recognise Ella who we're delighted to have taking the reigns as store manager. You'll be in safe hands all the usual hours, and we'll keep you up to date over on Instagram. But, most importantly make sure to come down and say hi for our inaugural week, there's a lot to take in!

Cutting their teeth at their taproom (and occasionally ours in N4), Gravity Well have quietly set about making some of the best smashable, hoppy fun in London. With half the team visiting the Leyton Legends at some point last year, and with it being our last pint before Lockdown Numero 3, they truly hold a special place in our heart. And, this time Ben has been so kind as to supply us with a quartet of new brews, which is no mean feat considering just how small an operation it is, and how highly they are in demand.

Continuing Gipsy Hill's fine form of Spring specials, we've grabbed all four of their latest brews including a duo from their new 'Squashed' series, which sees sour ales jammed pack with fruit for maximum juicy effect. Strawberries, Raspberries & Blueberries features huge nostalgic berry aromas, cut through with a sweet-sour, sherbert medley, while their Peach & Vanilla boasts rich stone-fruit flavour, and a mouthwateringly tart finish. Think straight Peach Cobbler in a can! Hazy IPA Ovni opts for hazy, hoppy fruit-forward flavours with overtones of passionfruit, backed up by zesty lime. Finally, deja-vu, and double vision strike in their Hepcat DIPA - the first instalment from their β€˜Tweak Series’ sees their classics taken to new levels. Double the strength and the hops, it's everything you love about Hepcat, just bigger.

If it wasn't obvious already from recent drops via Tim Wildman or Domaine Landron-Chartier, we're a bit of sucker for a Pet Nat, so Christophe Lindenlaub's fresh Alsace efforts are virtually essentials for us. Emerging from a long line of winemakers in the region, he continues to use traditional, painstaking methods - grapes are handpicked, fermented with indigenous yeasts and bottled without addition. One of the most quaffable, invigorating wines of last year Pino Citron returns, a blend of Pinot Gris and Blanc, this is all vibrant grapefruit juice, with a hefty whack of saline minerality and tangy citrus acidity. While, his latest Apres l'Heure is pure Pinot Noir perfection. Here, beautifully ripe raspberry and cherry aromas coalesce with an earthy complexity on the palate alongside a touch of bright herbs for a long, quenching finish.
