Fasten your suds-seatbelts as we're coming at you with an absolute doozy this time around! First up we debut our NEIPA collab Tilting At Windmills with those Walthamstow wonders Wild Card. Then we take a detour to Track for some juicy supplies, followed by even more malt magic in the form of East London Liqour Company's East London Whisky. Up online we have an absolute bounty of confectionary crackers with fresh stouts from the likes of The Beak, Hammerton, Pressure Drop, and more. Following up we have all your usual choice cuts from across the stores and finally a round-up of all the in-store tastings coming up! Now, let's dig in...

Well, just who else could it be? Local legends and a brewing force to be reckoned with since 2012, Wild Card have gone from strength to strength, and with each release tasting better than the last we were overjoyed they agreed to work on something with us. With beautiful artwork by James Hayes this juice jousting, Don Quixote-inspired banger pushes the limits of oat-goodness with a luscious malt bill that literally overflowed out the mash tun. Tilting At Windmills is a tropical thick-shake, make no mistake about it.
Building on their Enigma IPA, we've opted to use the underrated hop alongside Ella. The former offers up crisp red fruits flavour, with the latter dishing out prickly, floral grapefruit. Not quite happy with just a duo of hype hops we've added the brand new varietal HBC 630. Promising complex fruity berry notes, along with sweet candy-like esters and creamy notes of peach - we hope to add enough intrigue to the eternally juicy New England equation.
Of course, we also have a healthy supply of their latest and greatest with their dino drop taking the lead. Featuring tangy blackcurrant, sorrel, and lime Sour Triceratops, all-day drinking Pale Pterodactyl plus dank and delicious West Coast IPA Parasaurolophus, there's a little something for everyone. And, to top things off you can snag 10% off 6 or more online or earn double loyalty points in-store. We wholeheartedly recommend grabbing something this week and especially our small batch stunner, which is here for a good time, not a long time!

We've been long overdue another parcel of juicy joy from Track, and we're delighted to welcome them back this week with a few returning favourites and a few tantalising, fresh treats. Kicking things off is their core range classic, Sonoma. A glowing, clean Pale this is a masterclass of balance and sheer suppability. While, APA Half Dome also makes a comeback dishing out the hazy heaven with notes of ripe, fleshy mango and crisp pineapple. Bolstering DIPA supplies, Saving Grace is the latest in their lauded Gold Top series. This lactose-infused New England boasts all the Hubba Bubba fruitiness with spiky papaya and pink grapefruit creaminess.
Using their simplest grist of 100% German pilsner malt Up On The Moon sees the Manchester mainstays team up with US legends Green Cheek for an ultra-clean West Coast IPA with classic bready malt flavour and layers of pithy citrus and a deep, resinous bitterness to boot. Lastly, we're delighted to have an extremely rare barrel-aged effort. Hanami is a blend of two-year-old beers from different pinot noir barrels which were then aged on 200 g/L of sweet cherries and orange zest. Expect notes of jammy orange and silky vanilla with a vinous, dry finish. Is there anything this lot can't do?

Continually a highlight ahead of the dare we say it, festive season, is East London Liquor Company's annual whisky offering, and their 2021 East London Single Malt is certainly no different. Composed of 100% malted barley from Norfolk, this is aged in a combination of bourbon, rye, and French casks. With aromas of oatmeal, peanut brittle, and ripe pineapple, there's also a hint of cigar box smoke alongside undertones of stewed apples and allspice. Whether neat, on the rocks, or in an Old Fashioned this incredibly special effort isn't just here to gather dust, but to be emptied at will. And, with bottles already sold out directly from the source, and just a handful making their way to us, we don't expect this to hang around too long...
