You wait an age for a collab... and then two come at once. Yes, somehow it's a rollover this week with the release of our Hazy Pale, Whatever The Weather, in collaboration with brewing besties Siren. An early exclusive to Clapton Craft shops and online, we'll be having a launch party at our Wood Street Depot tonight to celebrate (more on that below). Obviously, that's not all, with experimental all-stars Wild Beer back in action alongside some gloriously green sluggers from Verdant. Add to that some mega manager picks across the shops plus free tastings galore including launches of a Mondo x Mothership collab in Finsbury Park and a fresh Brick Plum Sour in Balham and we've got quite the Newsletter in store for you!

It's not often you get to meet your brewing heroes, least of all collaborate with them. Crowning Siren our Brewery Of The Year for 2020 and now our BOTW once more, they've proved time and time again to be masters of Session sorcery. Having launched SIPA star Lumina, and with Suspended In... a firm fixture on the taps it's plain to see we cannot get enough of their frighteningly flavourful, all-day drinking Pales. Enter Whatever The Weather, our supercharged yet supremely suppable Hazy Pale built for all seasons, and designed to be drunk again, and again, and again...

Harnessing tantalising tropical juice power, sheltered by a comforting pillowy soft body, all while retaining that crucial drinkability is a feat only really Siren could manage. Devising a finely tuned malt bill including wheat and oats, we formed the ideal thick, silky base for a medley of hand-selected hops to shine through. OG Mosaic delivers vibrant berry flavours and a floral complexity, while El Dorado is all soft stone fruit succulence, with Idaho 7 lending vibrant piney pink grapefruit notes. Suffice to say we are mighty proud of this one, and we hope we can share a glass or can with you at our Wood Street Depot tonight from 6pm, when we'll have the team in to answer all your burning beer questions with a number of their beers (including Whatever The Weather) pouring, and free tasters galore.

Of course, we have plenty of their latest and greatest in tow, like nostalgic Best Bitter Memento, juicy IPA Far Above The World, and the indulgent Cacao & Hazelnut Broken Dream. With their killer core range also in support, we can't think of a better way to fill your fridge than taking advantage of double loyalty points in-store and 10% off six or more online. If that wasn't enough we're offering 12 packs of Whatever The Weather for just Β£40 while stocks last. No-brainer is a bit of an understatement here!

It's rare we're lucky enough to snag a drop from Somerset stars Wild Beer, so it's go big or go home this week. With a daunting dozen of brews from the team, there's A LOT to choose from. Featuring special sharers like Wineybeest, an Imperial Stout aged in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels and Ninkasi RosΓ©, a mixed ferm beer made with local apple juice, gooseberry, and a touch of raspberry, there's definitely something for the heads out there. However, we've also got some absolute essentials starring their salted caramel, chocolate milk Stout royalty in Millionaire, and Big Bibbler, their bolder, even more passionfruit-filled take on an IPA favourite. Lest this becomes a Wild Beer appreciation Newsletter (if we had our way...) we'll mostly let the beers do the talking, so hit the link or ask in-store for more information.

One of the most exciting experiments undertaken by the hoppy heavyweights, Doubling Down sees Verdant team up with some truly wonderful Cornish breweries to create four single-hop DIPAs, all brewed in the same week! Designed to be compared and contrasted the malt bill and water profiles remain identical across the beers, however, they've taken the opportunity to ferment these brews with four different yeast strains. An exploration in scientific flavour fun, we won't pick our favourite lest it sway you either way. Though don't second guess picking one up, as these are available in... you guessed it, extremely short supply.

Thankfully, we're not all just about the 8%-ers here at CC HQ. Hence, why we've got a trio of smashable sessions in support. It's been far too long since their original bright idea, Lightbulb graced these shores. This bright, crisp, clean, and citrus-filled extra Pale Ale is a cornerstone of the style, and for good reason. Favourite People, Money, Space, Time also returns, with the soft, ultra sluggable Session Pale cramming in ludicrous flavour for just 3.8%, combining citric sharpness with luxurious umami hop-factor. Finally, glowing, meaty Pale Headband completes the roster with layers of dank tropical fruit and caramelised malty goodness. Tuck in!
