We're back in fine style this time around, though after a momentary break we somehow find ourselves in September already. Close enough to be mentioning that festive 'C' word we're going to bury our heads in the sand for a few weeks more, mainly for our own peace of mind.

Still, last week and this have been anything but uneventful with a deluge of deliveries. As such another set of Hackney heroes, Pressure Drop, lead the way with an unstoppable array of juicy joy. Following on we uncover a hidden gem in Austria's first ever Pils, and our inaugural beer import from Zillertal. Meanwhile, Pastore turns the grand old age of 3 this week, and we're lucky enough to have a little slurpable sample of their Birthday Beers to toast to them. Finally, there's a quick recap on Cheltenham's finest, and the ever reliable, DEYA.

You'll have to head in-store or Online this week to hear about all our other latest and greatest, instead of your usual dose of newsie highlights, but rest assured it'll be worth your time...

To say we've been fans of the Tottenham Juice Titansℒ️ aka Pressure Drop since day one is a bit of an understatement, with one of (if not) our top-selling beers ever, Pale Fire, setting the world alight. Their "shining, hazy gold, North Star of a beer" is a juicy, yet crushable Pale that pushed the standard for craft beer upon release, and it's a true desert island effort we simply can't get enough of.

Alongside their boozy beacon they have continually honed their craft, now offering up an array of hazy heaven on an obscenely regular basis along with some truly stunning Sours, ludicrously crisp Lagers, and sumptuous Imperial Stouts. There's arguably not a more accomplished (or hyped) brewery in the capital right now, so we're thrilled to feature these legends once again...

And, there's no better place to start than the aptly named Dreamlife. This slick NE Pale offers up distinct citrus notes of zesty orange and candied grapefruit along with beautiful green aromas for sessionability (4.6%) meeting max flavour. On a similar note, Birdwatch Weekly sees them team up with Manchester's hottest hoppy property Sureshot for a NEIPA of mammoth proportions. Saturated in tropical flavour, this has a pillowy soft finish that'll convince you it's barely passed your tongue. Delish.

For those after something a little more crisp and classic, returning favourite Premium Lager Beer is an unfiltered winner bristling with herbal, zippy Hallertau Blanc hops. Back to fruitier shores we go to Catamaran, of which we are assured is most definitely not an ice cream Pale. Instead, think heady pineapple and overripe stone fruit, in all El Dorado hop heaven.

Of course, customer faves like King Queen Knave or Wallbanger are always sure-fire winners, while decadent delights Cast Iron Billy and Velvet National are not to be missed whenever you see them. Either way you can snag 10% off 6 or more online, with double loyalty points in-store across their epic range. Ours is a Pale Fire if you beat us to the bar...

Located just south of Bavaria, in Tyrol and set in the valley of the Alps, Zillertal are a brewery steeped in history, and no stranger to true beer heritage. Founded in 1500, they were later made family owned as the first independent brewery in the region in 1678. Later, having benefited from the tourism rush after the second world war, they invested in modern, cutting-edge equipment, though they continue to use hand-selected, local ingredients.

Discovered on a skiing trip years ago they represent our first foray into importing European Beer, which save for the odd export to Japan have never been sold further than 100 miles from the brewery itself. As such, we're immensely proud to have their classic Pils and Radler. The former is a golden affair representing the best in clean, malt-driven flavour with a tinge of herbal, noble aroma. While their citrus-Pils blend is the pinnacle of the often erroneously derided Shandy genre. Cloudy, and refreshing with a fruity, zesty burst this will be sure to transport you to a sun-soaked slope in one gulp.

Be sure to let us know what you think about this drop, as safe to say, we're absolutely smitten!

We can't quite believe Pastore have reached the big 3 already. Once rising stars, they've become bona fide greats in the Sour scene, thanks to their superb Session efforts, Wild wonders and Pastry perfection, with collaborating alongside them last year (on the fantastic Ballando Il Twist) being a real craft career highlight for us. So, what better way to celebrate than with a quartet of bonkers beers?!

First up, Torta Di Compleanno, a luxurious birthday cake Sour made with chocolate, strawberries, pistachios and vanilla that's every bit as crazy and delicious as it sounds. Next, a collab with Cloudwater, Il Tramonto Del Sole - a zingy Raspberry-Lime Sour DIPA that breaks new ground, and then some. For something a little more refined, Wild Limone sees their flagship Sicilian lemonade Sour aged with wild yeasts and microbes for six months. A beautiful marriage of Pastore's fresh and aged range, this is all spritzy, citrussy, funky goodness. Finally, Montone E Capra sees them team up with Holy Goat for an intriguing Flanders Red conditioned on cherries, pinot noir skins and redcurrants.

To say these are all rather special, is quite the understatement. We don't expect these sour sensations to hang around anytime soon, but then you probably know that by now!
