Well here we are again, you made it through another week! A big thanks to everyone for attending our Spicebox x Track Showcase, it was a joy to get events back up and running down the Depot with a super soft launch. After a few successful events over the last few weeks, we're also delighted to note that you can now officially hire out our Finsbury Park tasting room.

In the here and now, and despite stock takes happening across the shops, we've got a tonne of beer heading through the doors (sorry Joe). Up top, we highlight Hackney heroes Pressure Drop, who probably have their finest line-up to date, which says a lot. In addition, there's value galore in the funky-meets-traditional future classics from Inacayal. Add to that some Online gems from East London suds slingers Boxcar and Gravity Well plus the likes of Howling Hops, Orbit, The Kernel, and Devil's Botany dotted about the shops, and there's just too many excuses to get out the house (or on the webshop) this time around. Who knows, we might slow down one week!

To say we've been fans of the Tottenham Juice Titansℒ️ aka Pressure Drop since day one is a bit of an understatement. And, one of our top-selling beers ever, Pale Fire, truly set the standard. The "shining, hazy gold, North Star of a beer" is a juicy, yet crushable Pale that's a true desert island effort we simply can't get enough of. Continually honing their craft, they now offer up an array of hazy heaven on an obscenely regular basis along with some truly stunning Sours, ludicrously crisp Lagers, and sumptuous Imperial Stouts. There's arguably not a more accomplished (or hyped) brewery in the capital right now, so we're thrilled to feature these legends once more...

Where better place to start then, than with their first ever Table Beer, Just You Wait. A notoriously difficult style to master, this is all the more impressive with sherbety satsuma notes and a mix of delicate floral and pithy tropical fruit aromas. Light, without ever descending into thin-ness this has a prickly, reassuring bitterness that'll make you come back for more and more at a rest easy 3.6%! Of course, we couldn't not point you towards a few returning juicy favourites including the lush, pineapple perfection of Tamborine Mountain, or the deep umami-like passionfruit power of Billionaires Should Not Exist.

If you're a West Coast is best coast believer then look no further than cult favourite Bosko. Meanwhile, you can find more malty goodness in their Export Lager Alsatian Pils with a little more citrus cleanness in the ever sensational Unfiltered Pils Great Heights. Joining them is smoothie smasher Lifestyle Guide, which sees a maelstrom of lychee, guava and mango deliver the full fruit rainbow. Ever-present King Queen Knave is also not to be missed, in all its Steady-esque glory.

As ever, we've got a rather tasty double loyalty points in-store on everything Pressure Drop with 10% off 6 or more online. Fair warning though all of our shops will have varying stock, though we are 100% confident you'll find something to love from one of our beery besties!

Though we've been known to endorse ludicrous Pet Nats, and champion obscure South African slammers of late, we're also just as desperate for a midweek bottle to avoid breaking the bank. Step in Inacayal, a collaboration between leading natural wine importer Les Caves De Pyrene and Luca Hodgkinson of Metic wines. With all their fruit sourced from old, dry-farmed vines planted on their own root-stock, they aim to produce excellent value wines, as naturally as possible that faithfully reflect their region. In hindsight then, these were always destined for a Clapton Craft shelf or fridge near you...

Up first from their home of the Colchagua Valley is La Patagua, a vivid, aromatic, unfiltered blend of Semillon and Moscatel. Full and textured on the palate with fine acidity it's as fresh as you like. Expect aromas of ripe citrus, lychee, and wildflower bursting out upon opening, making us long for Summer already. In contrast, Red La Cueva offers up more home comforts. Here, Carignan lends spicy dark fruit notes, while local variety Pais keeps the deep flavours in check, lending a delicate lavender and petal edge. Coming in at just a tenner a pop, these are both an absolute no brainer!

With all the attention on Wood St last week, we thought we couldn't leave out our North London brethren. And, to help sweeten the deal we'd like to remind you that it's possible to hire our tasting room in N4 throughout the year. A taproom hideaway located a short distance from Finsbury Park station, with additional seating at the front of the shop this is an ideal spot for hosting around 20-25 people.

With dedicated speakers, five beers on tap, wine by the glass, and all those fancy fridges at your disposal, it's not likely to be a dry party. For more information including deposit and minimum spend please get in touch with info@claptoncraft.co.uk - and you can check out more details on all of our drink-in destinations including Wood Street and Balham at the link below!
