No, it's not Friday just yet I'm afraid - apologies folks! Forgive us for the first of two emails this week but we just couldn't help ourselves from announcing that our own exclusive house Red Wine has dropped. Something completely new for us we were part of the journey from start to finish, sampling far too many amazing efforts and speaking to countless wonderful people before landing on a producer and a wine that matched, and far exceeded our ambitions.
A natural, organic, and versatile juicy delight made from one of our favourite grapes in an incredibly underrated locale, this is just at home paired with food as it is chilled and glugged straight from the bottle (hey we're not here to judge). Read on to find out more about how we landed our Clapton Craft Garnacha great...

Enlisting the help of esteemed natural wine agent and importer Les Caves De Pyrene we set out to find a little parcel of grapes we could call our own. Having explored many of our loved regions while performing some essential quality assurance it was evident that the Reverte winery was the perfect match, with a similar, forward-thinking ethos to our own, and an amazing pedigree. Already making a firm customer favourite in Rafa Xabi's Sea Of Dreams, we were absolutely delighted they agreed to work on a first for us, and something really rather special...
Family-run alongside his two brothers, and set up in 1989 by their father, Reverte was the grandfather of Rafa, and the name was set up in his honour. With the oldest Garnacha in Fitero (up to 100 years old from a small town North West of Zaragoza), they planted further vineyards from cuttings of their heritage vines, giving them access to some of the oldest and best produce in the region, all of which are uncertified organic.
Subsisting delicately in a continental climate with very little precipitation, the vineyard of Carbonela (where our wine was picked from) sits atop arid, clay-chalky soil at a relatively high plateau, lending a cooler edge. Treated only with natural products, and without mechanical intervention, everything is manually harvested with indigenous yeast from the area used in the fermentation process.
The result is a wine fully expressive of the terroir, unadulterated, pure, and an embodiment of everything we love about natural wine. Juicy, and fresh with plenty of concentrated ripe raspberry and berry notes this is slightly less rich than your usual Garnacha, and as vibrant as it gets on the palate. Though there's darker fruit underneath too, with liquorice aromas, plus hints of lavender and black pepper lending complexity and depth alongside a quaffable, drying finish.
We absolutely cannot wait for you to try this wonderful wine you simply won't find anywhere else. And, to sweeten the deal even further we're offering double loyalty points on our Garnacha guzzler. While Webshop goers can secure £6 off on a case of six. Please let us know what you think, but more importantly, salud!
We'll see you again at the same time, same place, this Friday - take care!
