Well, here we are again, with another Bank Holiday in front of us! We hope you've just about recovered from the last mega weekend as boy, oh boy, do we have some boozy royalty for you. As always we're open all the usual hours so there's plenty of time to grab your party supplies...

Up top, we crown (sorry!) Burnt Mill as our Brewery Of The Week. We can think of no one making as beautifully balanced, suppable brews to drink all day as this lovely lot!

Next, we have a smattering of Kent coast crushers from our pals Time & Tide, including a resupply on Faraway Town, and we anoint the true successor to the juicy throne, the one and only Fridge King. Then, we draw your attention to some not-your-ordinary Bordeaux bangers from pioneers, Peybonhomme.

As to our Managers, they sing the praises of BBNo (tasting today in SW11) Brick, Drop Project, Lost & Grounded, Gravity Well, and more. While, over online we have the likes of Pressure Drop, Cloudwater, UnBarredVault City, and DEYA primed and ready to fill your empty fridge and alleviate your post-Bank Holiday blues.

Going down a treat each and every time they've graced the shelves and fridges of CC, we're glad to see you love Burnt Mill as much as we do! Founded on a barn in the idyllic Suffolk countryside in 2017, they've risen to prominence rapidly, becoming renowned for their impeccably balanced, hop-forward beers.

With a particular focus on drinkability and West Coast styles, they've truly taken the Sierra Nevada torch and run with it, reminding us of why we got into this craft beer malarkey in the first place. And, we can think of no better way to toast their successes, than with five fresh suds through the doors...

Of course, there's always a place in our hearts for Pintle, easily one of the most consistent and rewarding Pales in the UK that's full of effortlessly sinkable, bright, crisp citrus and pine notes. Ably supporting our Westy supplies we also have Gluten Free favourite and tangerine dream Beyond The Firs. Another dose of bitter brilliance, GF IPA Liquid State rounds off the California-inspired crackers with some amazing experimental hops on show to celebrate IWCBD.

Thankfully, we've also got some hazy juicy joy, with DDH Pale Over The Horizon boasting a melody of ripe tropical fruit fun. Finally, the first experiment in their series of ever-evolving IPAs, Organism O1 has us intrigued. Stripping down the style to its basics, dank passion fruit character from Strata hops are showcased atop an oh-so-smooth, simple malt bill of extra pale ale and oats, while the peachy esters of a London Ale III yeast blend in the background to balance this refined, unique IPA.

As ever, we have the rather enticing offer of double loyalty points in-store or 10% off 6 or more if you'd like some Burnt Mill belters delivered straight to your door. That is if we leave any for you, these are certified staff favourites, and for good reason...

It's been a hot minute since we had our last drop from Time & Tide, but you'll forgive us if we didn't want Faraway getting too lonely in the fridges. As such, we have a quartet of new entries, led by our one true ruler, Fridge King, which brings with it illustrious flavours of lemon-lime, and tangy white grape. A souped-up version of Spratwaffler, all-Citra IPA Jacked Sprat also joins the fray. This radiant bev packs fleshy citrus and mango fruits aplenty, with just a hint of hoppy, herbal spice.

Made with Deal Hop Farm, and using Prima Donna hops grown in, and around, the local area as part of a patchwork farm, their Walmer Patchwork Pale is another pretty special entry. Light, hoppy, and hazy with wonderful earthy undertones this is a real homegrown treat. Aged to perfection, we're also fortunate to have bottles of their 2017(!) Bretted Saison, Echo; expect dry, funky, floral, farmhouse flavour with a lick of tart citrus rind.

Lastly, we of course have plenty more Faraway Town, our saturated Citra and Nelson SIPA. Dishing out wave after wave of tropical fruit flavour, at a supremely sessionable 3.8% we think this is the best batch so far, which is saying something!

πŸ’« πŸ’« πŸ’« πŸ’« πŸ’«

After an all-too-long hiatus, we've got another doozy of a returning, hand-selected import for you fine folks this week. A pioneering natural Bordeaux estate run by fifth-generation growers Catherine and Jean-Luc Hubert, ChΓ’teau Peybonhomme-Les-Tours is located in the hillside town of Cars overlooking the idyllic Gironde river. Originally classified as Premier Cru in 1868, they've been organic and biodynamic since 2000 with a strong focus on maintaining a healthy, vibrant ecosystem encompassing flora, fauna and animal life.

Challenging almost every cliche associated with the commercialised world of today's Bordeaux their wines are low-yield, terroir-driven, fresh and outstanding value for money, appealing to natural wineheads and classic lovers alike. An ideal fit then for a long weekend when you might need something a little bit special to please the entire party!

With four cuvees in total, there's a focus on deep, vibrant comforting reds with brambly freshness and minerality in spades, ideal for the ever-changing weather. Led largely by Merlot, Cabernet Franc & Sauvignon and Malbec grapes, these are top shelf wonders without the excessive pricing, but with all the silky, rich, heady grape glory.

The eagle-eyed amongst you will have spotted we also have a brand new biodynamic Bordeaux Pet-Nat, L'Amour Du Risque! Made from 100% Cabernet Franc this is brimming with juicy strawberry and raspberry notes carried by very fine bubbles, a crisp acidity, and just a hint of residual sugar adding body.

Find out more about all their entries by hitting the link below, or simply ask in-store, to help find a new favourite. Γ€ votre santΓ©!

As a result, we're delighted to present three returning favourites, alongside two beautiful new bottles showcasing the pure grape glory of the Languedoc. Let us know what you think!
