We're slinging seasonal spirit aplenty to you this time around led by our third ever Brewery Of The Year! There's details on our extended festive opening hours, plus your last chance for delivery straight from the cold store to your door through the magic of the Webshop. Meanwhile, St John's Hill opens its doors, and there's the final set of tantalising tastings around the grounds. We'll be back once more before the end of the year for a quick update, but we'd like to say a massive thank you for all your support this year. As a growing independent business, it's been turbulent to say the least, and we simply couldn't have done it without you. But, without further ado here's some Cornish hop heaven...

When discussions started over who had the best 2021 (preceded by whether we could quantify such a thing - it turns out we can give it a go) there were a fair few, more than deserving names batted around. Braybrooke, Pressure Drop, Track, and The Kernel, have certainly all had exceptional years. But, if we're truly honest with ourselves there was only going to be one winner this time around. Dismissed foolishly as mere hype merchants Verdant have consistently and carefully expanded their horizons with a plethora of excellent Lagers, Stouts, and West Coast IPAs. Moving into a new brewery at the beginning of 2020 gave them their own fair share of trials and tribulations but their beer, whether fresh specials or old favourites, has never tasted better.

Having been lucky enough to work with them on our hazy holy grail of collabs, it's clear this lot are the real deal. Their consistency, quality, and attention to detail, especially during the cellaring process (with fermentation and dry-hopping key) is pretty much unrivalled. And, with an on-site taproom on the way alongside the Putty-iest time of the year just on the horizon, you really wouldn't bet against them dominating once more in 2022.

To celebrate we've got a belting drop of seven fresh brews heading through the doors, with a giveaway locked and loaded for the new year to cure those January blues. Firstly, we have to mention we're down to the final cans of Dream Within A Dream! Perhaps unsurprisingly our collaboration NEIPA has absolutely flown out, and is loaded with saturated tropical goodness backed up by a pillowy soft body with an underlying dank piney-peachy complexity, alongside their distinctive umami tinge.

Session starter People, Money, Space, Time also returns in fine form, this soft, ultra sluggable Pale crams in ludicrous flavour for just 3.8%, combining citric sharpness and pure hop power. Juicy reinforcements also include silky-smooth fan favourite Neal Gets Things Done and their latest IPA Sunrise / Sunset, sporting new hop varietal Pacific Sunrise. While a collab with Lager legends Braybrooke could only be a match made in heaven and their snappy Italian Pilsner, is certainly every crispy bit of joy we could hope for.

And, to round things off we have two supreme dark delights. Off The Ground sees the Cornish hop gods join forces with neighbours Origin Coffee for a roasty Stout slammer. With lashings of cold brew San Fermin and recirculation on 50kg of natural Ethiopian Goru Muda beans expect coffee-forward flavours of strawberries, oranges, mango, dark chocolate and caramel in amongst plummy malt goodness. Meanwhile, Divide By Many is their boldest and biggest Imperial Stout to date. With complex notes of bitter dark chocolate, coffee and molasses all at a whopping 11.5% there's absolutely no lactose, adjuncts or pastry nonsense here...

We're delighted to have begun welcoming you into our SW11 suds sanctuary having opened yesterday! It's been amazing to already have so many of you through the doors, and for us to start getting to know this thriving area. Local legend Chippy has taken over the reins as store manager, so to say you are in safe hands is a bit of an understatement.
