We can't quite believe it but somehow it's already our last Newsletter in a year that has simultaneously gone by in seconds and dragged on for a millenia! Firstly, thanks so much for your support across 2020 - as a small independent business it's been quite a ride this year and allowing us to brighten up your boozy day just a little bit is why we do it all in the first place! On to proceedings and we announce our first ever Brewery Of The Year, there's details on our festive opening hours, a webshop last call, and more Gifts than you can shake a stick at, including whisky from Sweden's Mackmyra. There's also an avalanche of new beer (if you end up on the nice list) from the likes of Verdant, Gravity Well, Mondo, DEYA, Cloudwater, Howling Hops, Pressure Drop, and many, many more... We wish you all a Merry Christmas and we'll catch you in the New Year!

A quick one to say we’ll be open as usual during this festive season, full details can be found here with extended hours beginning very soon, running right up until Christmas Eve afternoon! Don't forget that webshop orders need to be placed before midnight on Sunday 20th Dec for last dispatch before Christmas, and the earlier the most definitely the better based on how much packaging tape we've been through in the last few days...

If there's one brewery that epitomises the best of UK beer right now, it's Siren Craft Brew. Though they've helped pioneer pastry stouts and jumped on the juice train, their commitment to making both accessible, and out-there beers has been without comparison over the last year. From, imperial lagers, to sour porters, brut pales and back again you never quite know what's coming through the doors with this lot. And, in an increasingly homogenised scene, particularly in styles, it's perhaps more valuable than ever that they continue to push the margins for everyone (including ourselves). It also goes without saying that their unstoppable all year rounders like Lumina (which we were lucky enough to launch), Broken Dream, and Soundwave make up a pretty unbeatable set, which for our money is the best in the UK right now, alone.
To celebrate we've teamed up with legends over on their Instagram to giveaway three choice Siren care packages, including a grand prize featuring a twelve pack including some of our choice cuts from the year, and some limited edition merchandise! Of course, we'll also have plenty on offer in the shops, and online from the team including their latest confectionary-inspired Barrel Aged Stouts the Fairground Trio, California Pale Flex, NEIPA Sold My Soul For Citra as well as all their core range classics. And, with double loyalty points running up until the New Year we'd thoroughly recommend seeing out 2020 in style with our absolute favourites from what has truly been a mega year in beer!

A handy reminder that we've got you absolutely covered in the gift department over the festive period! Though we've professed our love for those beautiful Tida Boxes recently, the London Gift Pack is a pretty perfect six set featuring some bucket list bangers, destined for a signature stocking filler. That's not forgetting Gift Vouchers, Online Subscriptions and rather significantly a major top-up on all of our merchandise including slick T-Shirts, super durable organic cotton Tote Bags and cosy as can be Sweatshirts.

We've got a rather healthy Swedish contingent here at Clapton Craft HQ, and having claimed Mackmyra were the greatest export since ABBA themselves we knew it was a no brainer to sample some of their Whisky last year. Now we can't get enough of it, but you'll be happy to hear we've got a plentiful supply of their range. Effortless sipper Mack remains an undeniable crowd pleaser while Svensk Ek is full to the brim with dark fruit, vanilla and spicy toffee gloriousness. Finally, Rok takes up where Islay whisky left off with alluringly saline, peaty notes present that give way to a surprisingly drinkable, clean dram. All single malts and originating from the world's most climate-smart distillery, these are an absolute no brainer - skål!
